It begins with your portrait session, but the final image is created through a more artistic process. The team may combine styling, lighting, background design, creative editing, atmosphere, symbolism and digital artistry to create a finished portrait artwork that feels unique to you.

Planned before your session
Some clients know from the beginning that they want to create a bespoke art portrait.
They may have a theme in mind, a visual reference, a favourite colour palette, a story, a character, a mood, a piece of art they love, or a personal idea they want to explore.
During your consultation, we can talk through the concept and work out what is possible. This may include styling, wardrobe, props, lighting, backgrounds, posing and how the finished image could be developed after the shoot.
The more clearly the idea is planned, the more intentionally we can photograph for the final artwork.
Created after your session
You do not need to have the idea fully worked out beforehand.
Sometimes a bespoke art portrait begins after the photoshoot, when one image stands out.
You may see a portrait and feel that it has the potential to become something more dramatic, more symbolic, more painterly or more imaginative. In that case, the team can discuss creative options with you and explore how that image could be transformed into a finished art piece.
This may include enhanced backgrounds, atmospheric elements, creative colour grading, compositing, digital painting effects, or other artistic finishing.
More than a standard portrait
A standard portrait is photographed, retouched and finished beautifully.
A bespoke art portrait goes further.
It is a more involved creative process designed to produce a finished artwork rather than a traditional portrait print. Because each piece is individually designed, bespoke art portraits are treated as a premium artwork option and are quoted or priced separately from standard portrait products.
These pieces are especially suited to clients who want something highly personal, theatrical, imaginative or visually striking for their home.
