Margaret & Christine’s Story: Friendship, Fun and Feeling Like Models
Margaret and Christine did not come into the studio with a complicated plan.
It started the way many good ideas do — with one friend seeing something on Facebook and tagging the other.
The idea was simple: why not?
They could come in together, have some fun, try something different, and see what happened. There was no grand production brief. No carefully rehearsed concept. Just two women deciding to say yes to something a little outside the ordinary.
And sometimes, that is enough.
“Why not?” they said. “Let’s do it.”
That decision became a day of laughter, glamour and friendship.

Like many clients, Margaret and Christine did not know exactly what to expect when they arrived. A portrait session can sound appealing from the outside, but it can also feel unfamiliar once you realise you are going to be the one in front of the camera.
Most people are used to being photographed quickly, casually or reluctantly. A phone comes out, someone says “smile,” and the moment is over. A proper portrait session is different. There is time, direction, styling, lighting and a team focused on helping you look your best.
For Margaret and Christine, that difference became part of the joy.
“We had the most fun,” they said. “The most fun.”
What stood out most was not just the final portraits, but how they were treated throughout the day. They felt welcomed, guided and comfortable enough to enjoy themselves.
“You treat everyone so beautifully,” they said. “It was such a great environment and felt so safe and it was fun.”
That sense of safety matters. Not because a portrait session should be serious or heavy, but because people can only relax, play and express themselves when they feel looked after. Margaret and Christine were able to laugh, try different ideas, change outfits and enjoy the process without feeling self-conscious.
They described it as feeling glamorous — almost like stepping into a different version of themselves, without losing who they were.
“It felt like models,” they said. “You made us feel like models. And you made us look like models.”

The beauty of their session was that it gave them both individual portraits and portraits together.
That matters because friendships are rarely documented properly. Families book portraits. Couples book portraits. Parents make sure their children are photographed. But lifelong friendships, sister-like connections and the people who make us laugh often remain in snapshots, if they are photographed at all.
Margaret and Christine’s portraits captured that shared energy.
The confidence.
The humour.
The affection.
The way two people can relax when they are doing something together.
They especially enjoyed having different setups, trying different clothing options and moving through the session without being rushed. What may have sounded like a long appointment at first became part of what made the day work.
“We didn’t realise we should allow so much time,” they said. “But we’re glad that it was that long.”
That time allowed the session to unfold naturally. They could settle in, enjoy the makeup, move through the different looks, be photographed separately, then come back together for portraits that felt warm, joyful and very much like them.
By the time they saw the final images, the reaction was immediate.
“They’re so you,” one said while looking at the portraits.
That is often the real measure of a successful portrait. Not whether it looks like a magazine image. Not whether the lighting is technically beautiful. Not whether the pose is perfect.
The real question is: does it feel like you?
For Margaret and Christine, the answer was yes.
Their portraits were polished, but still personal. Glamorous, but still warm. Styled, but not artificial. They were portraits of two women enjoying themselves, enjoying each other, and giving themselves permission to be seen.
For them, the session became more than a photo shoot. It became a shared memory — something they did together, laughed through together, and now get to remember through finished portraits.
“We loved it,” they said. “It was just great. The whole experience.”
