Jeshan’s Story: From Nervous to Completely Comfortable

November 03, 20252 min read

Jeshan did not arrive at the studio feeling completely confident.

Like many people, she felt nervous at the beginning. Being photographed can feel vulnerable, especially when you are stepping into a styled studio environment and becoming the focus of the session.

But that changed quickly.

“The staff were so great making me feel comfortable,” Jeshan said. “She was coming and helping with my dress. We were making jokes. I was so nervous when I walked in, and after that I was so comfortable.”

The session became more relaxed, personal and enjoyable than she expected. She was able to settle into the process, enjoy the styling, and let the team guide her through the shoot.

Some of the strongest portraits came from moments that were not heavily planned. A setup came together, the team saw the possibility, and Jeshan chose to trust the process.

“It was just put something together,” she said. “She was very creative, and I wasn’t going to be very daring, but it turned out to be really great.”

That shift mattered. Instead of trying to know exactly what to do, Jeshan was able to be guided. The portrait became something she may not have imagined for herself at the beginning, but loved when she saw the result.

Looking at the finished portraits helped Jeshan realise the value of taking time to be photographed properly.

“Looking at the photos today, I realised now how important it is to get this done sometime,” she said. “I feel great right now just to look at it and remember the day.”

For Jeshan, the portraits were not just images. They became a memory of the experience, the confidence she found during the session, and the feeling of seeing herself captured beautifully.

“It was a wonderful experience,” she said. “They turned out to be amazing.”

Create portraits you feel good about.

You do not need to arrive knowing how to pose or feeling completely confident. The studio team will guide you through the session and help you feel comfortable in front of the camera.
